Surah Yusuf

Surah Yusuf (Arabic: يسوف, Joseph, "Joseph") is the 12th sura of the Qur'an. This Surah consists of 111 verses and suras belonged Makkiyah. This Surah is called sura Yusuf is due to the emphasis of the contents of the history of the Prophet Joseph. History is one of the magical stories that revealed to the Prophet Muhammad as a miracle for him, was he before this sura revealed not know. According to Al-Bayhaqi narrated in the book Ad-Dalail that a party of Jews to convert to Islam after they heard the story of Joseph, because according to stories they know. From the story of Joseph, the Prophet Muhammad took the lessons of many and is a consolation to him in carrying out their duties.

Principles of contents



1. Faith: Prophecy of Joseph and his miracles; provisions relating to religion is the right God solely; qadha God can not be changed; the apostles were all men.

2. The laws: The requirement of keeping secrets to avoid libel; goods and children must be collected findings should not be allowed; may do trick that does not harm others to gain something benefit.

3. The stories: History of the Prophet Joseph's brothers with their parents Ya'qub

4. And others: Some properties and noble role model that can be drawn from the story of Joseph: the similarities between the prophets of religion is monotheistic.
