Surah Al-Kahf or Al-Kahfi (Arabic: الكهف, al-Kahf, "Cave") called ashab Kahf is the 18th sura of the Qur'an. This Surah consists of 110 verses, including class-sura surah Makkiyah. Named Al-Kahf and ashab-Kahf, which means residents Cave. Both the name is taken from the story contained in this sura in paragraph 9 to 26, about several young men who slept in a cave for years. In addition to these stories, there are also some pieces of the stories in this letter, all of which contain the lessons very useful for human life. There are several hadith the Prophet Muhammad who claim primacy of reading this surah.

1. Faith: The power of God Almighty to give the ability to survive in humans exceeds the normal: the basics of monotheism and justice of God does not change forever, the sentences of God is very broad, encompassing everything, so people will not be able to write it. Certainty of the coming Day of Resurrection; Al Quran is the holy book whose content is free from chaos and falsehood.

2. Laws: The legal basis wakalah (proxy); ban on building places of worship at the grave; law read "God willing", wrong deeds done since forgotten is forgiven; permit goods to avoid damaging a greater danger.

3. Stories: Stories Ashhabul Kahf; story of two men are an infidel and others believers: the story of Prophet Musa, peace be with Khidhr USA; story Dzulkarnain with Gog and Ma'juj.

4. And others: Some lessons from the stories in this letter, among others, about the power of faith in Allah and sincere worship of Him; sincerity of someone in search of teachers (science) civilized manners among students with teachers, and some example of how to lead and govern the people, and struggle to achieve happiness of the people and country.
