Surah Al-Kafirun

>Surah Al-Kafirun (Arabic: الكافرون) is the 109th surag of the Qur'an. This letter consists of 6 paragraphs and include a letter Makkiyah. The name Al Kaafiruun (unbelievers) are drawn from the word that appears in the first paragraph of this letter. Main contents of this letter is not allowing a compromise in the form of mixing religion.

Background



During the spread of Islam in Mecca, the Quraysh against the Prophet Muhammad incessantly looking for ways to stop the Islamic threat to their ancestral beliefs. On one of these efforts they seek a compromise proposal to the Prophet Muhammad where they offer: if Allah wanted them to worship God, then they will worship God as the concept of Islam. Then the letter was sent down to answer it.
