Surah Al-Hajj

Surah Al-Hajj (Arabic: الحج, al-Hajj, "Haji") is the 22nd sura of the Qur'an. This Surah consists of 78 verses. Some verses of the surah was revealed in Mecca and partly in Medina, so the commentators disagree about the class of this surah (Makkiyah or Madaniyah)

Surah is named after this surah Al-Hajj, because this surah revealed matters relating to the pilgrimage, such as ihram, thawaf, sa'i, wuquf at Arafat, shaved hair, syi'ar-syi'ar God, avail-avail and wisdom-wisdom disyari'atkannya pilgrimage. It is also stressed that the synagogue had been disyari'atkan pilgrimage at the time of Prophet Abraham, the Kaaba was founded by the Prophet Abraham with his son Ismail.



According to Al Ghaznawi, surah Al-Hajj was among the magic sura-sura, revealed at night and during the day, the traveler and the traveler is not a state, there are verses revealed in Mecca and some are revealed in Medina, the contents is associated with the war and some are associated with peace, there are the verses that muhkam and some are mutasyabihaat.



Main content



1. Faith: Faith of the resurrection and Judgement Day melee; of the order of the universe can be taken of evidence about the existence of God the Creator.

2. The laws: The obligation for the Muslim pilgrimage and pilgrims have been disyari'atkan during Abraham; law tell a lie; prohibition of idolatry; the animals that eat kosher; law prevented people from the path of Allah and the Mosque-forbidden; imprimatur war to defend themselves and religion; the laws relating to the pilgrimage.

3. And others: Denies the truth without knowledge is a despicable act; signs of piety that reach the heart, each and every religion that brought the apostles since the former has a certain shari'ah and how to do it; reward people who died in exile in way of God; attitude unbelievers when they hear the verses of Al Quran; advice with the real jihad, the Islamic reproach against those who do not keep her mind, and always seek profit for themselves.
